FAIRPORT, NY. — Seneca Foods Corp. has acquired B&G Foods, Inc.’s Green Giant canned product line in the United States. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

B&G Foods, maker of popular brands like Jolly Green Giant, Ortega and Cream of Wheat, said it had signed a lease for a new Parsippany headquarters.

Although it’s a remnant of Green Giant’s presence in Le Sueur, corn and pea processing took place at a Commerce Street plant that had long been shuttered by the time of its demolition in 2016.
