WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans are working overtime after a lengthy White House meeting to meet President Donald Trump’s demand for a big budget package that includes some $3 trillion in tax breaks, massive program cuts and a possible extension of the nation’s debt limit.

S.D., has come out in support of a Senate GOP effort to move out in front of their House colleagues on the crucial budget reconciliation process.

The Republican-controlled Senate is moving forward with its own budget bill instead of waiting for their colleagues in the House, where Capitol Hill spending bills typically begin.
