Fresh off a convincing win on the road against the Atlanta Falcons, the 6-5 Carolina Panthers are headed to California to take on the San Francisco 49ers in their first primetime game since Bryce Young’s rookie season.

The Panthers team that showed up was the one where Bryce Young acts as a flamethrower, torching the defense in every direction and using all of the weapons at his disposal in the process. Young threw for a new franchise record 448 yards to go with three touchdowns in the win over Atlanta.

Near the end of the first quarter, Young took a hard hit on a sack from Falcons rookie safety Billy Bowman Jr. He walked back to the Panthers' locker room with some trainers, and the team first listed him as questionable to return with an ankle injury.
