Snow has blanketed the high country with Flagstaff experiencing its biggest snow storm of the year so far. FOX 10's Brian Webb has been there keeping track of the on again, off again snowfall.

Widespread snowfall totaling 4 to 6 inches is expected through Wednesday, with isolated higher amounts along the North Shore.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect for some areas of Illinois and northwest Indiana from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 3 a.m. Thursday. The heaviest snowfall is predicted for the afternoon rush hour. Schools will be closed or have shorter hours.
