In a memo dated Jan. 9, the USPTO denied the trademark application for “Utah Yetis,” citing potential consumer confusion with other similarly-named brands. “The singular or plural form of a registered mark is essentially identical in sound, appearance, meaning, and commercial impression,” the USPTO explained, regarding the "Yeti" moniker.
