Apple's latest MacBook Pro is a powerhouse of a laptop for professionals and prosumers. But if you're just looking for something to browse the web and stream Netflix, stick with the MacBook Air.

The Mac mini (M4) is on sale from November 8, 2024. The Mac mini starts at £599, which is for the Apple M4 processor with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. If you want to upgrade to the M4 Pro processor, which comes with 24GB memory and 512GB storage as standard, you’ll pay £1,399.

When it was introduced during the white plastic heyday of peak iPod-era Apple, the Mac mini was pitched as the cheapest way to buy into the Mac ecosystem. It was $499. And despite some fluctuation (as high as $799 for the entry-level 2018 mini, $599 for this year's refresh), the Mac mini has stayed the cheapest entry-level Mac ever since.

We've been covering the best deals and lowest prices on Apple's Mac mini range for quite some time now, starting with the best Mac mini (M1) deals, followed by the lowest Mac mini M2 prices. But now there's been a leap in performance with the addition of the latest Mac mini M4 (and M4 Pro) model.

With the M4 Pro and Thunderbolt 5, the Mac mini supports up to three displays simultaneously at 6K resolution and 60Hz. It can also power one 6K/60Hz panel with a second screen up to 8K/60Hz or a 4K panel at up to a 240Hz refresh rate. These higher-end 8K/60Hz and 4K/240Hz display configurations require the HDMI port.
