Thanks in large part to massive spending on political spots, YouTube advertising revenue cracked $10 billion during 2024’s final three months. The overarching Alphabet disclosed this and other YouTube performance specifics in its Q4 2024 earnings report.

Video streaming giant YouTube just shared its latest earnings report for Q4 of 2024. The results showed promising figures for global ad revenue which managed to deliver a 13.8% rise than the previous report.

Despite growth in ads, Alphabet’s shares sank in pre-market trading as investors digested the company’s revenue miss.

YouTube's focus on AI has done it again. During Alphabet's fourth quarter of 2024, YouTube reported that its ad revenue grew 13.8% year-over-year. By the end of the quarter, its ad revenue was $10.47 billion compared to the $9.

Google’s advertising revenue rose 10.6% to $72.46 billion in the fourth quarter beating the third quarter's 10.4% growth of $71.84 billion. Ad revenue from YouTube grew 13.8% to $10.47 billion in the fourth quarter, compared with the 12.2% growth in the third quarter.

Google's YouTube ad revenue was up more than $1.5 billion from Q3 2024.

YouTube continues to be the dominant player in ad-supported streaming, reporting Q4 advertising revenue of $10.5 billion, up from $9.2 billion a year ago, and surging past $10B in a quarter for the first time.
