Dennis Schroder has played four games for the Golden State Warriors since joining the franchise on Dec. 15. The veteran guard has the unenviable task of trying to figure out how to slot into a rotation that boasts Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. That task has been made even harder by joining the franchise with the season in full swing.

The Warriors knew Dennis Schroder was an awkward fit when they traded for him. After three games, it's looking far worse than anyone feared.

Dennis Schroder has spent the past 10 days getting acclimated to his new surroundings in the Bay Area. The Golden State Warriors acquired the offensive-minded guard via a trade with the Brooklyn Nets on December 15.

The Warriors inserted Dennis Schroder into their starting lineup days after acquiring him from the Brooklyn Nets. They could have brought the lead guard off the bench and gradually introduced him to lineup configurations, but are rather committing to him right away.

Schroder was supposed to solve many of the Warriors' issues, especially on defense, and give the team another reliable ball-handler and scoring threat.

Dennis Schroder is the latest addition to Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors. The veteran guard was acquired to provide additional scoring, playmaking and ball-handling, which should hopefully relieve some pressure on Stephen Curry.

In acquiring Schroder, the Warriors address a need of a late-game decision-maker and multi-level scorer from the backcourt. Schroder, who’s averaging 18.4 points per game, instantly becomes the third-best penetrator off the dribble on the team, behind Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga.
