Fulton County Superior Court Judge Shukura Ingram gave District Attorney Fani Willis until Jan. 13 to respond to an order that requires her to honor a subpoena from a Georgia Senate committee. A judge has ruled that the Georgia state Senate can subpoena Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as part of a inquiry into whether she has engaged in misconduct during her prosecution of President-elect Donald Trump but is giving Willis the chance to contest whether lawmakers' demands are overly broad.

Willis' refusal to comply with the subpoena has outraged some of Trump's most outspoken supporters, with Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene asserting that her "defiance is absolutely unacceptable" and calling for her arrest in a September post to X, formerly Twitter.
