The winning ticket, a $40 Royal Jackpot Scratchers game, was sold at Quik Stop convenience store and gas station, at 601 N Cloverdale Blvd in Cloverdale, California Lottery spokesperson Yvonne Vazquez said in a Thursday, March 19, phone call.

More than 35,000 other Powerball tickets sold in California also won prizes ranging from $4 to $400, the lottery said.
