Igor Shesterkin Issues Contract Warning: 'You Never Know What Can Happen'
The Vezina Trophy winner’s future is one of the most pressing concerns for the Rangers. Shesterkin is set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, and it’s widely believed the team will have to make him the NHL’s highest-paid goaltender to secure a long-term deal.
Shesterkin hopeful to work out contract to remain with Rangers
Shesterkin has helped the Rangers reach the Eastern Conference Final twice, in 2022 when they lost in six games to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and last season when they lost in six games to the Florida Panthers after winning the Presidents' Trophy with 55 wins and 114 points.
