Jarrett Allen scored a season-high 27 points, Donovan Mitchell added 26 and the Cleveland Cavaliers won their eighth straight, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 122-110 and spoiling LeBron James’ first game after turning 40.

Lakers had a fatal closing of the year, they disappointed their public completely. The visitors never suffered the game and won it with ease.

The Cavaliers have only lost one game in December, but it happened to come on the second night of a back-to-back. They just went to war with a tough Golden State defense, and now, given the matchup, things could get even tougher.
