The Miami Dolphins and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick have agreed to a two-year deal that guarantees him about $17.5 million this season while giving the club salary cap relief. The contract converts his 2025 salary into a signing bonus while sliding $2 million up from his 2026 deal to the 2025 season.

Minkah Fitzpatrick and the Miami Dolphins agreed Sunday to a restructured contract that adds a $16.245 million signing bonus to the All-Pro safety’s deal.

The Dolphins threw big and unnecessary money at players just last week. The changed philosophy was evident again in this deal with Fitzpatrick.
