Micron said it will continue shipping Crucial consumer products through the end of its fiscal second quarter in February 2026 and will honor warranties on existing products. The company will continue selling Micron-branded enterprise products to commercial customers and plans to redeploy affected employees to other positions within the company.
Micron, one of the leading manufacturers of computer products, has announced that it’s leaving the Crucial consumer business in favor of a stronger focus on AI. The company will continue to ship consumer products through the end of February 2026.

Micron is making a major shift to its business model. In a news release the company announced it is ending their consumer brand "Crucial" to focus exclusively on commercial sales and artificial intelligence. The brand competed with household names like "Samsung" for non-commercial use.
