Court records show that Morris faces four felony counts, including two for theft of $100,000 or more, in Nevada. He was denied bond in Florida after being arrested Sunday.

NBA veteran Marcus Morris is in hot water after being accused of writing over $250,000 in bad checks to Las Vegas casinos and never paying the money back. According to a report by TMZ Sports, Morris allegedly defrauded both the MGM Grand and Wynn Las Vegas in a two-part scheme that unfolded over the span of just one month.

Morris, who has not played professionally since 2023-24 and makes regular appearances on ESPN’s “First Take,” allegedly got $115,000 from the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and $150,000 from performing a similar scam at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The 35-year-old has been in custody in Broward County, Fla., since Sunday.
