Louisville football has won nine-plus games in back-to-back seasons for the first time in a decade. Jeff Brohm has the Cardinals winning.

Washington failed on a 2-point conversion with nine seconds remaining in regulation and lost the Sun Bowl, 35–34, to Louisville on Tuesday. The Huskies scored a touchdown on 4th-and-1 with a one-yard score on a fade pass from Demond Williams to Giles Jackson in the right back corner of the end zone.

KEY FIRST HALF RUN: Louisville used a 7-0 run to stretch the lead to six in the middle of the first half, the run was capped off by a three-point basket by Reyne Smith. The Cards maintained their six-point lead for the rest of the half, 37-31.

Chucky Hepburn scored 26 points as host Louisville defeated North Carolina 83-70 in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup on Wednesday night.
