Jos Buttler made 45 runs from 30 balls as he unleashed his strokes once again in the second T20I against India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Buttler has registered a major batting record against India in T20I cricket.

In his first match as captain under coach Brendon McCullum, Jos Buttler has left a huge mark by becoming the second Englishman and seventh player overall to score over 12,000 runs in T20 cricket. Buttler achieved the feat during the first T20I against India, where he scored a brilliant half-century.

After batting first, England set a target of 166 but were only beaten with two Indian wickets remaining. The result sees the hosts take a 2-0 lead in the series

England were bundled out for just 132 with Jos Buttlers 68 the highest score; Indias Varun Chakravarthy took a three-for; Jofra Archer struck twice in one over but hosts dominated, reaching the target in 12.
