Jeanine Pirro, the newly confirmed U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, has set her sight on targeting illegal firearm trafficking and immigration laws in Washington. Pirro was confirmed in a 50-45 vote by the Senate along party lines Saturday.

The former Fox News host, whose false statements about the 2020 election were part of a lawsuit against the network, had been serving in the role on a temporary basis.
