The Indiana women's basketball team faces its toughest test this season: a matchup against UCLA, the nation's No. 1-ranked team. IU is 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers are on a six-game win streak. UCLA is 14-0 overall and 3-0 in league play.

Indiana did a lot of things right against No. 1 UCLA at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The defense was solid for stretches of the game. And there were times when Indiana was able to solve UCLA’s size advantage and get some offense going.

While Indiana’s defense faltered at times throughout the second half, its offense was able to keep it within reach of UCLA. It outscored UCLA by 1 point in the second half, and although the Hoosier’s efforts weren’t enough to upset the number one team in the country, Moren still found positives in her teams 62-73 defeat to the Bruins.
