Glenmorangie revealed a new campaign for its single malt Scotch whisky, in which Harrison Ford travels to Scotland and embraces its culture – including wearing a kilt.

A little under five months after Harrison Ford was spotted in Scotland staying at the Glenmorangie House, the actor has been unveiled as the star of an ad campaign for the iconic scotch whisky brand.

The films, which will appear on TV and social media, show the star getting to grips with Scottish pronunciation and kilt etiquette.

The Glenmorangie campaign also featured Justin O’Shea as creative director, Lachlan Bailey as photographer, and Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Christine Centenera as stylist. It marked both Ford’s first trip to the Scottish Highlands, and his first time working with Edgerton, two experiences which he enjoyed.

Working with Harrison Ford on a global production was an unexpected and thrilling opportunity for maintenance technician Michael Fernie. Selected to appear in the warehouse scene alongside colleagues Alan Duff Jnr and Graham Nicol, Michael felt excited to be chosen for such a unique experience.

Once Upon a Time in Scotland,’ from film-maker Joel Edgerton, takes viewers behind-the-scenes as the Hollywood actor journeys to the Highlands.

The Star Wars actor praised the 'unpretentious and amusing' commercials, which show the production of two top whiskies in Tain, Highlands.
