Iowa joins other states across the nation in lowering its flags to half-staff on Sunday to honor fallen firefighters, including one from Cedar Falls.

The gathering was organized by Andy Ingram, a retired firefighter-paramedic in Siloam Springs. He helped start the Siloam Springs Fire Department Honor Guard in 2021. It is designed to help pay tribute to the firefighters who died in the line of duty.
