A 2-1 Conor Garland goal celebration was short-lived for Vancouver Canucks fans, as immediately after Vancouver took the lead in their matchup against the Seattle Kraken, goaltender Thatcher Demko left for the Canucks' dressing room. Prior to his departure, he made 11 saves on the night and only let in one goal.

The Vancouver Canucks‘ injury problems continue, as Thatcher Demko left Thursday’s game against the Seattle Kraken with an injury. The injury occurred midway through the second period when Noah Juulsen and Brandon Tanev were shoving in front of the net.

The entire province of British Columbia held its breath on Thursday night. Not just because of what happened in Ottawa, but also because of what occured during the game between the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken.

Starting goaltender and 2024 Vezina Trophy runner-up Thatcher Demko left Thursday’s game against the Seattle Kraken and was replaced between the pipes by Kevin Lankinen. He was ruled out by the team prior to the third period,

The team confirmed at the beginning of the third period that he would not return to the game.

While the Vancouver Canucks were celebrating Conor Garland’s breakaway goal in the offensive zone, their goaltender Thatcher Demko was heading out of the defensive zone, to the bench, and down the tunnel to the locker room with an apparent injury.
