The Cowboys have their new offensive line coach. Word on Friday morning was that they were targeting Conor Riley to fill that spot on Brian Schottenheimer's staff and the team announced the hire on Friday afternoon.

The Dallas Cowboys announced that Kansas State football offensive coordinator Conor Riley is joining the NFL team as offensive line coach.

Matt Wells would be a logical replacement. The former Texas Tech head coach spent last year working alongside Riley as the co-offensive coordinator at K-State. He has built a strong relationship with quarterback Avery Johnson and would give the Wildcats an easy transition as play-caller.

It sounds like the Cowboys have found their next offensive line coach. Per Bruce Feldman of TheAthletic.com, Dallas is targeting Conor Riley for the role. Riley is regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches at the college level.

After coming to Kansas State in December of 2018 and being a core member of Chris Klieman’s staff, Conor Riley is expected to leave Manhattan. The offensive line coach who spent time as the offensive coordinator over the last season is expected to accept the offensive line coaching job with the Dallas Cowboys on Friday,
