India took a 2-0 lead in Chennai in the 5-match T20I series against England. Tilak Varma rescued India from troubled waters with a resilient display with the bat at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Tilak scored 72 not out to hand India a win by 2 wickets.

India vice-captain Axar Patel (2/32) was the beneficiary of England batters’ adventurous intentions. The left-arm spinner bowled into the pitch and the inherent grip on the surface did not allow the batters to impart force and direction to their shots.

Tilak Varma has played a lone hand by shepherding India across the finish line against England with an unbeaten 72 off 55 balls in the second Twenty20 in Chennai.
