Jack Hohwald, an 85-year-old Maple Shade bus driver who was killed on Tuesday, Jan. 28 after being struck by a bus driver at the school, is being remembered for his years of dedication to the school district.

An 85-year-old school bus driver died after he was hit by another bus in a “tragic accident” at a high school, New Jersey officials said. Jack Hohwald was at Maple Shade High School on Jan. 28 when he was hit by a bus, the Maple Shade Police Department wrote in a news release posted to Facebook.

No children were injured Thursday morning in a hit-and-run collision that caused a school bus to crash into a building on Detroit's west side, police said. Officer Justin Hearn, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department, said the crash was reported before 8:45 a.m. and happened near the intersection of Meyer Road and Curtis Street.
