Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers’ first-year tour de force has hit more history. Bowers became only the third rookie tight end in NFL chronicle to record 1,000 receiving yards, accomplishing the feat Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brock Bowers came into today’s game with 968 yards receiving on the season. Which means he needed 32 yards to reach the 1000-yard mark. He got exactly that on his first play of the game. And in true Brock Bowers fashion, most of that was on yards after the catch.

If he catches six passes against the Falcons, Bowers surpasses Michael Thomas for the fourth-most receptions in a season by a rookie in NFL history ( Puka Nacua set the rookie mark with 105 catches for the Los Angeles Rams last season).

Although the Las Vegas Raiders have faced numerous challenges this season, they managed to score a figurative home run with rookie phenom Brock Bowers.
