Google is taking another step towards bringing Gemini features front and center in Gmail. Starting today, Google Workspace users will see an automatically generated summary on all long emails and threads.

The mobile rollout for both groups begins June 24, 2024, and may take up to 15 days for all users to see the new options.

You no longer have to manually start Gemini summaries for long email chains, but you can also opt out if you don't want them.
