It's early, and reading too much into things is par for the training camp course, but Eagles fans can rest easy. The Birds are focused. Jalen Hurts is back, and the ball is barely touching the ground. Take that, Cam Newton! Rumors of Hurts' demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Eagles LB Nakobe Dean, who's recovering from a torn patellar tendon in his knee, will begin training camp on the PUP list.
"Toward the end of the Eagles’ first training camp practice on Wednesday, cornerback Kelee Ringo expressed his frustration by smacking his hands together. He was in good position on wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. near the left sideline, but he couldn’t knock it away from Marshall’s hands and gave up his third big catch of the day."
The Eagles lost five defensive starters, two defensive backups and one offensive starter from last year’s Super Bowl team, and how they go about replacing those positions is one of the top things to monitor this summer.
The Eagles drafted Central Florida cornerback Mac McWilliams in the fifth round of this year’s draft and signed veteran cornerback Adoree’ Jackson in free agency, pushing Ricks to the sixth spot on the depth chart. General manager Howie Roseman could hold onto Ricks or trade him for depth at a different position.
