i would say for security reasons they might but diapers are not a security issue. you should be fine,

I think a 13-year-old can have a great time there. So can adults. If you go on a Thursday, there is no admission fee so even if he / she doesn’t Like it, you don’t have to stay long

Yes I think so there are a lot of interactive things to do and it is just a cool place to be. It's close enough to other museums that you can walk to if they get bored.
