If you place the BBQ pit on the picnic area (just outside pool fence), or in the group campground area, the park might allow that activity.

When we went in early November the rest rooms were clean. It was off-season, after Labor Day, but the park was clean, well kept and the bathrooms stocked with supplies. As an FYI - this is a state park and was built during the Depression in an effort to get the national economy restarted so you are looking at buildings from the 30's era. You can see and read the entire history and construction on the information posted near the concession stand area. A lot of the state parks and facilities have the same type of "look" - Garner cabins in the Hill Country, Barton Springs in Austin, etc. This is just what they are and not intended to be a luxury facility
