I am a student working on a YSL project, ‘The French and Francophone influences on YSL’s designs. I am looking for a direct quote from Yves St Laurent explaining that some of his collections were influenced by Chinese/Asian culture. Sorry, I don't work at the museum--just visited and loved the exhibition. The 'Dream of Asia" exhibition brochure does not give any quotes, just info that he was inspired by his reading and works of art he and Berge collected, seemingly before he visited (which he did later in his life). I'm sure the staff of the museum can help you with more direct reflections he may have made. Good luck and go to visit when you can.
