This was our 4th Castle on our Scotland trip and the only one that was in ruins. As you can imagine it was in a bit of a mess, comes with being hit by cannon balls and nobody wanting to have the cost…Full review by Ibrahim G

We absolutely loved Tantallon Castle. The scenery around it is stunning - it is right on the sea with isles spotted in the surrounding waters - and the towns nearby are very friendly with great food.…Full review by Laur6767

My recollection is similar to others Park in the lot as close to the ticket office s possible but there remains a long and challenging walk to the castle .

I think it is free for members. No need to book, just show up. It's worth going to.

Is it wheel chair accessible?
A:
I would not recommend it. It is rather uneven ground leading to the ruins and a great deal of climbing up steps to appreciate the views.

They would need close supervision in the castle, as it has steep drops, behind fences, and steep stairs. It's a consequence of the design and purpose of a castle.
