Absolutely worth a day trip out from Thessaloniki! Spacious large museum with/ labels in Greek and English. We went as part of guided tour, but this would be fine to visit independentlyFull review by Manningjen

Where is the best town to stay to visit Pella? We are staying in Thessaloniki on arriving then have 3 nights available to visit this area before driving south. We have already previously stayed in Vergina. Edessa seems quite a long drive from Pella.

We drove from Thessaloniki.... as we were staying there. it makes a good day's outing we then continued to Edessa and returned back to Thessaloniki in the evening.
