The bike rentals are open as long as the park is open. You need to look up the hours of the Hawaii Volcanos National Park. Once you have those the bicycle rentals will be there 'cause it's big biz for them. It's a 4.5 mile bike ride each way but worth it. Or I would strongly suggest the boat ride at $200--I didn't know what I was getting until I saw one pull up to the lava--literally.
